SEO packages and prices

Our small business SEO packages are set out below with clear prices, so you can see what each option includes before you speak to anyone. Some businesses need a one-off plan or a few well written pages, while others need steady work every month. This page explains every option and helps you work out which one fits your business at the stage it is at now.

Start with a free SEO audit

If you are not sure where your website stands, the free SEO audit is the sensible first step. We look at the technical health of your site, how well Google is indexing it, your page titles and descriptions, the gaps in your content and the local signals that matter for businesses serving Brighton, Hove and Sussex. You receive a clear summary of what is holding the site back and the quick wins worth doing first. It costs nothing and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

One-off options for getting started

Not every business needs a monthly retainer. If your site is small, your budget is tight or you want to see how SEO works before committing to anything ongoing, our two one-off products give you a clear plan and, if you want it, the first pages written and added for you.

  • Topical map, £97. A page-by-page plan for your website showing which pages to create, the keyword each one should target, how many people search for it each month, how hard it is to rank for, and the order to publish them in with the quickest wins first. It is built by hand from live keyword data for your own towns and services and delivered within 5 working days.
  • Done for you, £497. Everything in the topical map, plus we write the first 5 pages from the map, which are the quickest wins, and add them to your website with titles, descriptions and headings set up properly. The map arrives within 5 working days and the pages are live within 10 working days.

Both options suit owners who are happy to keep things moving themselves once they know exactly what to do. You can read more about how the plan is put together on the topical map page.

Monthly SEO retainers

Our retainers are for businesses that want ongoing work rather than a single project. Each one is billed monthly with a minimum commitment of three months, and every package includes a full onboarding audit in the first month so the work starts from an accurate picture of your site.

  • Local SEO, from £350 a month. Google Business Profile management, local citation building, on-page local SEO and monthly reporting. This suits businesses that serve customers in a defined area and mainly want to appear in local searches and the map results.
  • SEO growth, from £600 a month. Full technical SEO, keyword research and strategy, on-page optimisation, content creation of two pieces a month, link building, and monthly reporting and calls. This suits businesses that want to rank for a wider range of services and need new pages added each month.
  • SEO authority, from £1,200 a month. Everything in SEO growth plus competitor gap analysis, digital PR and link acquisition, a content calendar of four or more pieces a month, conversion rate optimisation and a dedicated account manager. This suits businesses in competitive markets, or those ready to treat search as a main source of new enquiries.

Prices are shown as starting points because the right amount of work depends on the size of your site and how competitive your market is. We always confirm the monthly fee with you before any work begins, so there are no surprises on the first invoice.

Work we price by quote

Some work varies so much from one business to the next that a fixed price would be unfair in one direction or the other. We quote for these individually once we have looked at what is actually involved, and the quote explains clearly what you would be paying for.

  • Technical SEO audits, for sites with deeper problems in crawling, indexing, speed or structure that need a full investigation. Our technical SEO page explains what this covers.
  • SEO content writing beyond the done for you option, such as additional service pages, location pages, blog guides or rewrites of thin pages.
  • Google Business Profile setup for businesses that are not on a retainer.

How to choose the right small business SEO package

The right starting point depends less on your industry and more on where your business is right now. A new or very small website with only a handful of pages usually benefits most from a plan before anything else, because publishing pages in the wrong order wastes time and money. The topical map gives you that plan for £97, and the done for you option is worth considering if you would rather not write the first pages yourself.

A business that relies on local customers, such as a trade, a clinic or a shop, often gets the most from the local SEO retainer. Your Google Business Profile, your citations and your location signals tend to drive enquiries more directly than anything else for this kind of business, and they need regular attention to stay accurate. We build and run our own lead generation websites for Sussex trades, so we know local search first hand.

If you already appear locally but want to rank for more services or across more towns, SEO growth adds the technical work, monthly content and links that make that possible. SEO authority is for businesses where competitors are already investing heavily in search, or where search is expected to become a main source of new work. If you are still unsure, start with the free audit and we will tell you honestly which option makes sense.

What good value SEO packages in the UK should include

Affordable small business SEO packages should mean good value, not a low price with little of substance behind it. Whoever you choose, any SEO package should tell you plainly what work will be done each month, how progress will be reported and how long you are committed for. If a provider cannot explain those clearly, treat it as a warning sign.

Be wary of any package that promises a set number of first page rankings or a guaranteed amount of traffic, because nobody outside Google controls how pages are ranked. It is also worth asking who will write your content, how links will be earned and what happens to your accounts if you decide to leave. Our guide on how to choose an SEO agency covers the questions worth asking any provider, and our article on how much SEO costs in the UK explains the factors that affect pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum contract on your SEO packages?

All three monthly retainers have a minimum commitment of three months. This gives enough time to complete the onboarding audit, fix the main problems and start publishing and promoting content. The topical map and the done for you option are one-off payments with no ongoing commitment.

What is the onboarding audit?

Every retainer includes a full onboarding audit in the first month. It reviews your site's technical health, content, on-page setup and local signals so that the work that follows is based on evidence rather than guesswork. It also gives a clear starting point to report progress against.

Can I start with the topical map and move to a retainer later?

Yes, and for a small site that can be a sensible order to do things in. The map shows you which pages matter most and in what order. If you later decide you want ongoing help, the monthly work can build on that plan rather than starting again from scratch.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, positions or traffic, because Google decides how pages rank and changes its systems regularly. What we can do is fix the problems holding your site back, publish the pages your customers are searching for and report clearly on what is happening each month.

Which website platforms do you work with?

We work with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, WooCommerce and Magento. If your site is built on something else, get in touch and we will tell you what is possible before you commit to anything.
